In October I opened a small studio with two of my fabulous friends. We are hoping to turn our love of photography into a career. I would love to upgrade my lens and purchase items we need for our studio.

I know everyone always says winning something like this would be a dream come true, but for me it really would. I've been struggling for a while due to not being able to afford effective advertising, not to mention better equipment. I know it's not the equipment that makes the photos better, but it sure helps you achieve the results you want!
Due to certain financial complications and a new baby, it will be a VERY long time before I'll be able to afford new equipment. I've been working so hard to improve my skill, and I've had to learn 90% of what I know by self-teaching. I've had a REALLY rough past year, and winning this contest would make up for it all.
If I don't win, then obviously someone else deserves it more than I do. But I would appreciate the hell out of it.

What would I do with this? Simple — buy a full frame camera and start seeing a HUGE boost in my pictures and composition! This has been a goal I have been saving up for ever since I started this photog journey and 2012 would be an AH-mazing year if that dream came true! Once the equipment is right… each wedding, session, and post processing would be vital and another education experience to take CWP to the top! <3
