I have been trying to move forward in the photography world for several years, but I have never had the means to dive into it. I never realized how much it was to get started! I have had a passion for it since I was young and I finally took the plunge in 2011. Although I feel I have grown a lot in a short time, I would still love to get new, better equipment. This giveaway would help my business tremendously. I just upgraded my camera earlier this year, but being that I am just starting out and some what new to my area I am just getting to know people and gaining their trust. Over the summer I went back home to VA to shoot and rented equipment that I didn't own or could afford to purchase. While I was on a session that equipment was stolen, so I had to pay for it to replaced, so I am still without owning that piece of equipment even though I have paid for it. God has blessed me to make it through this year with just the income that is coming in from my business. My husband was laid off a few years ago and is now a full time student. He has been very supportive of my business, but what I make is what helps hold the family up, so I don't really have much of any extras to pay for extra equipment that I know would help me create better images. For me it would be the financial push that would help me in realizing my dream. I have the most amazing and wonderful Husband who has been supporting me but it would be selfish to make equipment something I would push for. He is the only one bringing an income in for us and working EXTRA so that we can have the roof over our head. Since seeing my love for photography he has encouraged me and even has been saying I need to upgrade but right now it isn't something we can do and I would not accept because I know our situation. For me to be able to jump start w/such an amazing gift of Adorama GC would mean the start of a dream finally coming true. As far as what this giveaway would do for myself and my business, in short: EVERYTHING. Money is tight right now (as with everyone – can i get a what what?), and yet my spouse has pushed me not to give up on my photography business, rather than pursuing some other job with more reliable income. He works so hard every single day – 12 hour days and more, often – and this sacrifice has pushed me more than anything else could ever do to get out there and make it happen! Am saving for equipment upgrades (shooting with a rebel = not ideal) but at this rate saving every penny it will still take over 2 years to afford the markII. This giveaway could make it all happen!
